Greater Lansing Food Bank is pleased to share details about our ongoing partnership with Kroger! Kroger has been a long-time supporter of Michigan food banks, including GLFB. As part of Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste campaign, they have made an additional commitment across the country to help end hunger in local communities and eliminate waste across the company by 2025.

Kroger’s campaign aligns perfectly with the strategic development of GLFB – working to ensure every person in need has access to enough nutritious food. “We are honored to have a company such as Kroger as a partner in this life changing work” says Kelly Miller, GLFB’s Development & Major Gifts Manager. “Their support of both food and funds makes a huge impact on those we serve.”

As part of this partnership, GLFB has wrapped one of our largest trucks with Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste branding. You may have already seen the truck in our communities picking up and delivering nutritious food to one of GLFB’s 140 partner agencies. Trucking is a crucial part of the work GLFB does, they provide a lifeline to our partner agencies

“Our increasing partnership with Kroger is something that benefits not only the food bank and our clients, but also Kroger’s customers, employees, and Kroger of Michigan itself. This is a great example of the importance of corporate philanthropy and how communities are working together to make change,” says Ms. Miller.
