About the Resource Center

The Garden Project Resource Center is a supply depot filled with resources tailored for vegetable gardening and is available to community gardeners and low-to-moderate income home gardeners during the growing season.

**The Resource Center is open at other times by appointment. Plants are only available to the public during the times listed above. 

Seasonal events & plant distributions


Registration

Garden Project Resource Center services are available to low to moderate income neighbors who garden at home or in a community garden. Registration is required every year and is open March 2 through the fall plant distribution. Registration is not required for Winter Seed Day or the seed garlic distribution in October.

Services Offered

  • Free seeds (limit 10 packets per visit). 
  • Free seedlings (vegetable transplants) during specific open hours events (see schedule above). Please bring your own tray or box to safely carry home your new plants! 
  • Free tool lending of standard garden tools for up to two weeks at a time. 
  • Gardening and cooking information (Ex. Books, magazines, videos, pamphlets, etc.). 
  • Free canning jars and two-week lending of food preservation equipment (July – October) 
  • Other resources as available such as at-cost straw bales, cover crop seeds and organic granular fertilizer. 
  • Helpful staff and volunteers to answer gardening questions! 

Visiting the Resource Center also provides a great opportunity to meet other gardeners, get advice and volunteer!
