After a two-year hiatus, Greater Lansing Food Bank welcomed back its 14th annual Empty Plate event at the Huntington Club in Spartan Stadium. Thanks to the generosity of auction donors, sponsors and guests, this year’s Empty Plate raised more than $390,000!
The 6th Annual Founders’ Award was presented at the event to the Camille and Maryalice Abood Family for the extraordinary energy, support, leadership, heart and soul by a family that has anchored Lansing for generations. We are grateful to Christopher Abood, MD, Maureen (Dan) Shaheen, Peggy Abood, Thomas (Amara) Abood, and Richard Abood, MD for taking the helm and continuing the work, compassion and legacy that their parents started more than 40 years ago.
This year’s festivities included:
- 由当地学校儿童手工装饰的纪念性 "空盘"。
- An opportunity to help make a difference for thousands of mid-Michigan neighbors
