Hunger Action Month 2022

September is Hunger Action Month—a time when the Feeding America network and the national public come together to raise awareness and inspire action to help people facing the impossible choices of hunger. As part of this annual campaign, Greater Lansing Food Bank is dedicated to driving awareness and inspire action in the mid-Michigan area.

How you can get involved this September!

There are several ways to donate and help out in the fight against hunger. Monetary donations will help GLFB with food purchasing, general warehouse operations and will also benefit programs like Garden Project and Food Movers. For every dollar you give, we can provide 3 meals. Donating food is also a great way to support those in need. You may drop off fresh, canned or boxed food items directly to our warehouse.

Organize a Food Drive

Increase your donations and your impact! Call on your friends and family and consider organizing a food drive in your neighborhood, at your local school, place of worship, service organization or workplace. Don’t want to deal with collecting cans, cash or checks? Hold a Virtual Food Drive (Fund Drive) for those who prefer to make monetary donations.
