Jackson associates took part in a Day of Volunteering at the Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) on Wed, Oct. 13, 2021. Jackson associates spent the day in the center organizing packing nearly 3,000 food backpacks for kids in need across mid-Michigan.
“We are looking for the communities in our area that are currently underserved, and we know there’s a lot them that have barriers to getting food pantries or seniors that can’t get transportation to get food,” comments Director of Philanthropy, Kelly Miller.
As part of the Building Hope Campaign Jackson committed $750,000 to underwrite the Jackson Volunteer Center at the new GLFB distribution warehouse located in Bath, MI. GLFB’s new warehouse has been able double its volunteer capacity and improve its ability to provide critical nutrition to those struggling with hunger across the 7 counties of Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Isabella and Shiawassee counties.
