Resource Center Intern
The Resource Center Intern supports Garden Project’s Resource Center, a plant and garden supply hub on Lansing’s east side serving community gardeners and low-income home gardeners. This position includes a $500 stipend and opportunity to receive college credit, if applicable.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with Resource Center distribution dates
- Maintaining Garden Project’s Demonstration Garden
10 – 15 hours a week, mid-May to mid August. Some evening hours are required.

AmeriCorps Position
The AmeriCorps position is a hands-on role that provides direct support to community garden sites. Perfect for a motivated individual who enjoys working outside and is interested in the intersection between horticulture and community development. This position includes a living stipend and educational award.
Responsibilities include:
- Infrastructure repairs
- Garden maintenance, tilling and mowing
- Resource and tool delivery
- Leading volunteer groups
- Other duties as assigned
Approximately twenty hours/week from late March – August. The application process opens in February. Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
