For over 30 years, Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) has hosted an annual Empty Bowls event. The simple offering of a bowl of soup and slice of bread is served to show supporters the humble meal that is often the only food someone can eat when struggling with food insecurity.

After a 2020 event that saw more support for those struggling with hunger than any Empty Bowls before it, GLFB hopes to recognize those organizations and individuals who continue to be part of fighting hunger in mid-Michigan.

Each guest of the Empty Bowls drive-thru, as well as all reception attendees, will leave GLFB with a handmade one-of-a-kind bowl as well as program detailing the work that GLFB has been doing in our communities. This program will have as space highlighting the individuals and organizations who joined us a Empty Bowl Sponsors. Find out more about our next Empty Bowls event below!
