“Empty Bowls” Fundraiser Luncheon to Fill Stomachs of Those In Need
Greater Lansing Food Bank and Troppo welcome the community to attend the 27th Annual Empty Bowls
luncheon on Friday, October 13 from 11am to 1:30pm. For a donation of $20, attendees will be able to
select a handmade bowl made by members of Greater Lansing Potters’ Guild, Clayworks Pottery and other
local artisans. Also included is a light meal of soup, bread and water. Troppo’s downtown location allows
students and employees to join the Empty Bowls event during lunch break. All proceeds from the event will
benefit Greater Lansing Food Bank.
“The Empty Bowls event reminds us that too many of our neighbors struggle with hunger,” says Joe Wald,
Executive Director of Greater Lansing Food Bank. “Support for Greater Lansing Food Bank fills up bowls
throughout the year.”
Troppo is located at 111 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48933.
