Community partnership helps feed mid-Michigan neighbors for over 25 years!

Since its inception in 1995, India Cultural Society of Lansing has been dedicated to serving the community. They are a non-profit, secular organization with objectives to promote cultural, social, and educational activities about India’s diverse cultures in the greater Lansing area. Included among the beneficiaries of the group’s generosity are thousands of Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) clients. For over 25 years, their partnership with GLFB has helped support mid-Michigan neighbors who are facing hunger.

“Since our founding, we have been available to those in need of food assistance across mid-Michigan,” stated CEO Michelle Lantz. “ICS’s donation will mean we can serve over 90,000 meals to families and individuals in need who will continue to be able to access our services. We could not do what we do without community partners like ICS.”

ICS’ ongoing support ensures that there are fewer people with food insecurity in our community. For their support of GLFB, we say thank you to all past and present members of the India Cultural Society of Lansing.

On Sunday, Dec 19 at the Bharatiya Temple in Haslett, MI, the India Cultural Society (ICS) of Lansing made one of its largest donations to Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB). In previous years, ICS donated upwards of $25,000 to GLFB, and this year raised over $32,000 to help feed mid-Michigan neighbors in need of food.
