Greater Lansing Food Bank’s work getting food to nearly 27,400 mid-Michigan households each month wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers.
Whether you’re sorting and packing food in our warehouse, delivering Weekend Kits for kids, distributing food through a Mobile Food Pantry or helping gardeners with Garden Project, we appreciate you.
Frank Dennis
December 2024 Volunteer of the Month
Frank Dennis started volunteering with GLFB almost 20 years ago. He was a member of the “hunger task force” of Edgewood United Church of Christ, which conducted food drives for organizations in Lansing and East Lansing. Through that, he learned about GLFB.
“GLFB makes use of food that would typically go to waste,” Frank said. “With the help of GLFB and the volunteers, that food can now go to families with limited funds.”
Frank said he appreciates that GLFB provides an opportunity to see a large array of services that provide food to neighbors across mid-Michigan, and enjoys making new friends with other volunteers at the food bank.
“GLFB provides an example of one of the many ways we can work together to improve life for others all over the world,” Frank said.
