LANSING, Mich. – The India Cultural Society (ICS) donated more than $29,000 to Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) in order to support families facing hunger, a record sum. This year’s donation was made in special memorial honor of ICS member Mr. Jai Jaglan.  The donation was presented during the annual “Feed the Hungry” luncheon at Salvation Army South, and it highlighted the Indian community’s dedication to supporting their Mid-Michigan neighbors.

“The generosity of the India Cultural Society, and the Indian community, is inspiring,” said Joe Wald, Executive Director of Greater Lansing Food Bank. “Donations like this really do make a difference to the lives of the children, families and seniors we serve.”

The India Cultural Society (ICS) is a non-profit, secular organization with objectives to promote cultural, social, and educational activities about India’s diverse cultures in the greater Lansing area; to support humanitarian causes; to support other charitable organizations, which support ICS objectives; and to foster Indian culture among children and adults.
