From everyone at Greater Lansing Food Bank, we want to say thank you to Whole Foods Market for being a GREAT partner. Out of all the organizations the East Lansing store could have chosen to donate their “One Dime at a Time” funds, they chose GLFB to be their inaugural recipient. Since whole foods give shoppers a dime refund for bringing their own cloth shopping bags, this program allows shoppers to donate the “dime” to a community organization. We would be absolutely unable to meet out mission of feeding people with out support like this, and we proudly use funds like these to get food onto the plates of our friends and neighbors.
