About CSFP
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of seniors with a monthly box of food commodities from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB) provides CSFP service for Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Shiawassee Counties, Michigan. If you live outside of these counties, find your local agency here.
Program eligibility
- Self-declared income is equal to or less than 130 percent Federal Poverty Line (FPL),
- Applicant is at least 60 years of age, and
- Applicant resides in Agency service area.

Frequently asked questions
How often will I receive a box through CSFP?
CSFP is a monthly program intended to supplement the diets of eligible participants. For other food assistance resources available to you throughout the month, visit our Get Help page or find a pantry or mobile food distribution near you using our pantry locator.
What can I expect in my box?
The CSFP package includes a varied combination of fruits and juice, vegetables, cheese, milk, meat, poultry and fish, plant-based proteins, cereals, pasta and rice. Nutrition education is also provided to participants to understand the value of a nutritious diet to improve health.
What do I need to bring when I pick up my box?
Please bring some form of identification with you when you pick up your box — this can be a driver’s license or other government-issued ID, a utility bill, pay stub or other document showing your name and address.
Can I have my box delivered?

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
