Greater Lansing Food Bank Announces Fiscal Year 2024 Executive Leadership and New Board Members
GLFB and community leaders partner to end hunger in mid-Michigan
LANSING, MI (July 20, 2023) — Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB), which provides emergency food assistance to families and neighbors in the mid-Michigan counties of Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Isabella and Shiawassee, has announced new board members and its executive committee for fiscal year 2024.
New members of the GLFB board of directors are Lynn Griffor, chief experience officer and vice president of philanthropy for McLaren Greater Lansing, and Luan Nguyen, chief investment officer for River Caddis Development.
Griffor has been with McLaren Greater Lansing for more than four years and previously served as the foundation executive director for McLaren Port Huron. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan-Dearborn, Master of Public Administration in Management from University of Michigan and a Master Certificate in Healthcare Leadership, Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from Cornell University.
“Food insecurity has a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of our community,” said Griffor. “I am proud to be part of an organization working tirelessly to address it.”
Nguyen recently joined the River Caddis Development team and previously worked as a senior level fund manager in asset management with Cinnaire. He has also served as a volunteer for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, conducted by the United States Postal Service, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and National Association of Letter Carriers, for more than five years and was vice president of the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) board of directors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Grand Valley State University.
“As the product of a family that once relied on food assistance, I wholeheartedly appreciate everything GLFB is doing in our community,” said Nguyen. “I’m grateful to now have the opportunity to contribute as a board member to help address the evolving hunger issues in mid-Michigan.”
