The Old Oakland Community Garden was established in 2012 in Dunnebacke Park on Lansing’s west side. The garden provides a welcoming space for residents of the Old Oakland Neighborhood, a place to garden, children to learn, neighbors to gather and socialize, and for the community to grow. The garden has four raised beds which all gardeners work together to maintain. There are plans for additional raised beds to be added and for the garden to be converted to a “grow your own” model. This garden is open to all and welcomes new gardeners and volunteers.
