Wednesday, July 20 5:00 – 8:00
The Garden Project is one of the oldest community garden programs in the country and is proud to have accomplished a significant amount of work in the community in the last 33 years. Each year, it is celebrated with a variety of tours that showcase what’s growing!
We welcome all to join us as we explore our local community gardens by bus, bike or foot – your choice! This is a great chance to explore the sights, sounds, and tastes of Lansing’s gardening scene, while meeting the gardeners who make it happen. The tours will highlight the ways that gardens are improving health and nutrition, building community and creating a more vibrant Lansing.
The evening will begin at the GP Resource Center (2401 Marcus St) with a welcome reception at 5:00. Light food and refreshments will be served. Guided tours begin promptly at 6:00.
