Nearly 100,000 of our mid-Michigan neighbors are experiencing food insecurity.

Neighbors facing hunger tell us that the cost of living, housing, employment and health are among the top reasons why it’s increasingly difficult to afford and access the food they need to thrive. GLFB is serving more than 18,000 households every month with nearly 1 million meals.

Mid-Michigan is a community that is a testament to the power of joining together to fight hunger. Please give and help our neighbors this holiday season.

“You have to have blinders on not to see people struggling. We see every month, people asking, ‘Do I get what I need to feed myself, or do I worry about my medicine?’”

-Joe Chahine, volunteer at Immanuel Community Reformed Church (Learn More)

When families don’t have enough food, parents will skip meals to ensure that their children are fed.
