Food drives vs. fund drives

Holding a food drive is an important way of helping the Greater Lansing Food Bank fight hunger. Each and every item collected does make a difference. However: have you ever considered the impact of a fund drive?

When funds are collected instead of food, we can then purchase food in larger, wholesale quantities (up to semi-truck size) which is more cost effective and helps more individuals in our communities. Just check out the graphic below:
