Option 1 Credit Union Supports Local Food Pantries

Grand Rapids, Michigan – When most people think about hunger, they think about TV spots showing a starving child in a third-world country. The truth is, hunger is a problem everywhere in the United States, but it’s not always easy to see. We are fortunate to have organizations in our communities that help people who are struggling to feed their families.

On behalf of the members of Option 1 Credit Union, a check was presented to the Greater Lansing Food Bank to help support their work. The Greater Lansing Food Bank is a non-profit organization that provides food to individuals, seniors, veterans and families in need. Food is distributed through an extensive network of agencies including food pantries and community kitchens throughout mid-Michigan.
