Hunger Action Month and You

September is Hunger Action Month, a time when Feeding America’s nationwide network of food banks unite to urge individuals to take action in their communities. Working together, food banks across the nation – including GLFB – raise awareness and create momentum to help end hunger in the communities they serve.

This September, join Feeding America and the Greater Lansing Food Bank in taking action. Help us make sure none of our neighbors in mid-Michigan goes hungry. We’re encouraging everyone to show support by wearing orange. But there are many more ways you can help.

  • Change your Facebook and Twitter profile photos to orange for the month of September
  • Donate your status and share local hunger statistics throughout the month
  • You can also find and like Feeding America and the Greater Lansing Food Bank on Facebook.

These are just a few of the ways you can get involved. And, of course, you can donate food, time or money to the Greater Lansing Food Bank!
